About Victorem

Integrative Sports Nutrition for Endurance Athletes

A strategy for performance, recovery, and long-term health, built for the demands of high-performance sport: no generic macros, no one-size-fits-all plans.

Victorem is integrative nutrition for endurance athletes, built by a sports dietitian who got tired of watching athletes get handed a "normal" lab report and sent back out to train through symptoms nobody explained. Jena Brown, RD, CSSD, built Victorem at the intersection of performance science and integrative nutrition, so training harder is never the only answer on the table.

Jena's Story

The name Victorem comes from the idea that every athlete gets to define their own brand of victory, whatever that looks like: a finish line, or just showing up to race day feeling like themselves again. Jena built the practice around that idea after 18+ years of coaching endurance athletes and watching the same gap show up again and again: sports nutrition treats performance, functional nutrition treats root causes, and almost nobody does both. She went deep into advanced functional-nutrition training because the athletes in front of her kept asking questions a meal plan couldn't answer.

She's also a wife, a mom of four, and an endurance athlete herself, so she knows what it's like to train, work, and raise a family at the same time. That's the practical, sustainable standard she coaches to: fueling that has to work in real life, not just on paper.

Our Approach

An integrative sports nutrition approach that considers the whole athlete's ecosystem

Victorem pairs conventional sports nutrition with an integrative, root-cause approach: fueling strategy for the training and race demands, and integrative nutrition for the labs, gut health, hormones, and recovery patterns underneath. Together they go looking for the root causes behind fatigue, GI distress, and stalled performance, instead of another meal plan. Every plan starts with data, not guesswork, and every plan is reviewed personally by Jena.

What Athletes Say

“Jena helped me get a nutrition plan together for a long distance mountain bike race. I appreciated her taking into account the unique aspects of the race when tailoring the plan. I had all my questions answered and felt more than prepared with my nutrition coming into the race.” — Tyler

“I wholeheartedly recommend Jena Brown to anyone seeking guidance. Mastering nutrition is the most challenging aspect, as everything else becomes relatively easy. I've witnessed many individuals go through yo-yo cycles of getting in shape, but investing in an accredited RDN should be the first step before spending money on pre-workouts and protein powders, and Jena fits that bill perfectly.” — Garrett

In their words

Athletes who found their fueling

I highly endorse Victorem Performance Nutrition! When I aimed to build muscle while maintaining a six-pack, my approach to nutrition was completely off. I had adopted a fasting routine based on a documentary I watched on Amazon. My relationship with food was in a terrible state - I would consume unhealthy meals and then attempt to compensate by fasting for a few days. I was lost, but then I discovered Jena Brown! Jena's approach is professional and never feels forced. She equips her clients with all the necessary tools for success, but it's up to us to utilize them. She regularly checks on me, providing helpful tips and updates to keep me on track.
Garrett · Marathon runner, hybrid athlete
I met Jena at my gym and initially had sessions with her about my general nutrition which I found extremely beneficial. However, it was her nutritional fueling and hydration plan for my month long bike ride across Colorado that I really experienced her expertise for endurance athletes. She created an hourly hydration/electrolyte and fueling schedule that allowed me to ride with 'nutritional confidence'. The fueling schedule included multiple food options that I was able to vary over the month of cycling. Don't hesitate to seek professional nutritional guidance from Jena for your endurance quests. I am by no means an elite athlete but benefitted immensely from her nutritional expertise on my cycling tour.
